The Legislative Affairs Committee task is to advocate Chamber positions on state and federal legislative issues of particular importance to the Searcy business community. Government affects business in many ways, through taxation, regulation, infrastructure development, and policy direction; all issues of fairness and equity. Government is one of the biggest influences on business, and a positive business climate can be the difference between profit and loss, success and failure. Business pays attention to government, but too often not enough attention, given the impact it has on the bottom line.
The Eggs & Issues meeting brings together business and political leaders to examine legislation and the state of the local, state and federal government. It provides a forum for exchange of ideas and development of platforms or positions the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce may need to address. Cintas-Searcy Division is our Eggs and Issues sponsor this year.
