Guns N Hoses Event

On Saturday, October 20th from 11 am-1 pm, Searcy Athletic Club will host its first annual Guns ‘N’ Hoses charity event. The Searcy Police Department, Searcy Fire Department, and White County Sheriff’s Department will compete in fitness and strength contests to benefit three local charities, including the Child Safety Center of White County, Jacob’s Place, and the Arkansas Special Olympics. This event is free to attend, and open to the community. Lieutenant Todd Wells commented, “The Searcy Police Department is pleased to be a part of this first-ever event honoring our public servants and benefitting our local charities.” 

Official Guns ‘N’ Hoses t-shirts will be for sale at the event, and all proceeds will go to the charities. Several local business sponsors will be onsite with food, such as Knight Fire BBQ, Joyful Macarons, Kona Ice, and Daisy’s Lunchbox. Other business sponsors such as Sunrise Honda, Haymond Insurance, Cruise Planners, NorthStar EMS, Adventure Dental, and Sonic have also partnered with their support. 

The Guns ‘N’ Hoses Event will include many more fun features for guests of all ages. The Searcy Fire Department will bring a fire truck and their Fire Safety House, and they will offer free car seat safety checks onsite. Cotton candy and face painting will be available for children, and all attendees may participate in a cake walk with more than 20 homemade desserts. Tickets may be purchased for raffle items donated by Aesthetic Solutions, Dacus Rental & Sales, Harmony Esthetics, the Corner Pawn Shop, Lincoln Lawncare, Leland’s Lures, Sherry Lowe, Sheena Jackson, Kellie Allison, and Shay Poe. SAC Corporate Accounts Coordinator Kristy Morris states, “It's been such a humbling experience seeing our friends and local businesses come together supporting our heroes and their charities. I'm so proud to be a part of such a great community and can't wait until Saturday!”

Executive Vice-President Mandy Dismang states, “The mission of Searcy Athletic Club has always been to help members pursue and achieve wellness for life. While it is true that wellness comes from exercise, the bigger picture of wellness also includes creating healthy relationships in a positive environment, and coming together to contribute to the community where we live. SAC is honored to host this event to celebrate our community’s heroes, the police, fire, and sheriff’s departments, in support of these worthy causes.”
