Two fun filled days of what it was like to live back in the early
    1900’s.   Free admission!  Donations accepted.

Pioneer Village, 1200 Higginson St., will host its annual Fall Fest on November 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 3 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Village is composed of a collection of late 19th century buildings, saved from around White County, that represent life as it was in the late 1800's. All buildings will be open for viewing. Among the buildings are a school/church, a log house, a jail, a train depot, a general store, and trapper cabin.  Various out buildings associated with farm life, farm equipment and tools are also included. Live farm animals will be on site.

Volunteers, in period costumes, will be on hand to answer questions, tell you some facts about the buildings  and pioneer life, as well as demonstrate pioneer crafts, including blacksmithing, spinning, quilting, knitting, leather working, Dutch oven cooking, wood working and more. Handmade items for sale include aprons, bonnets, walking sticks and pioneer wooden toys.

Toy trains will be running in the Garner Depot courtesy of Arkansas Traveler Hobbies, Bald Knob, AR.  Traffic and train safety information will also be furnished. The trains are a great crowd pleaser.

Live music will be furnished by local musicians throughout the day. Pioneer games and activities for children will be available.

Local vendors will also be selling their hand crafted items, including wooden bowls and bracelets, bird houses, duck calls, soaps and lotions, kettle corn, and much more.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Parking and admission are free. Donations are gratefully accepted.
