Riverwind and Augusta High School Banking Workshop

RiverWind Bank and Augusta High School are teaming up to present basic banking workshops for High School students grades 10th, 11th, and 12th. Three sessions will be held at the Augusta High School on Thursday, April 13th at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. The 5 p.m. session will be open the public.
Session topics include:
Life Skills – students will learn about saving and budgets, the importance of education as it relates to jobs, debt pitfalls and traps and general life skills in the financial arena. Speakers will be Casey Cullipher and Janice Beard.
Basic Consumer Banking – students will learn about checking and savings accounts, debit cards, online banking and mobile apps. Speakers will be Martha Ray and Michelle Davis.
Basic Consumer Loans – students will learn the basics of getting a loan, loan applications, car loans, debt to income, credit cards and buying a home vs. renting. Speakers will be Victoria Cansler and Amanda Hollingsworth.
Anyone attending the evening sessions will receive a ticket for a burger and fries meal at the school cafeteria.
An additional session will be added for the evening on General Estate Planning. This session will be led by Casey Cullipher and will include information on Powers of Attorney, estates, wills and probate.
