About Us

The vision of 153 local investors came together on August 4, 1997, when First Community Bank opened for business at 710 St. Louis Street in Batesville, Arkansas with 14 employees and $3.5 million in capital. The original 14 employees had strong banking backgrounds and a determination to become the bank of choice. The bank’s slogan “Where Community Comes First” quickly became the guiding force that set First Community Bank apart.

Through local decision-making and a genuine interest in the financial wellbeing of the communities served, First Community Bank quickly became a bank known for putting customers and community first. The tremendous growth resulted in the need for additional locations and so the expansion story began chapter by chapter.
