First introduced in 1994, Leadership Searcy recruits highly-motivated individuals to meet the present and future needs of our community. The program develops a network of talented leaders.
The Leadership Institute seeks to:- Identify and motivate individuals with leadership potential
- Acquaint them with community needs, challenges and opportunities
- Offer a forum of exchange on methods for dealing with community issues
- Challenge potential leaders to become involved with local issues and the process of decision making
A series of eight full day sessions have been planned to focus on issues, people, and opportunities for Leadership, for citizens from September through May. The order and content of some sessions may change, but typically they are held on the second Tuesday of the month.
Leadership Searcy’s 300+ alumni have gone on to accept roles of great responsibility in the community. Many have chosen to run for elected offices. Applications for enrollment are taken late July through mid-August. Classes begin in September.
If your company or organization is interested in helping sponsor one of our class sessions, contact the chamber office at scc@searcychamber.com
