Economic Development

Workforce Development/Education - Robert Skinner, Chair
The chamber supports efforts that encourage student achievement which, ultimately, provides a better qualified workforce for Arkansas. This work is done thorugh advocacy at the local, state and federal levels, through participation on a variety of boards and by supporting the work of other local groups whose goals and mission align with our priorities.

Small Business Council- Mat Faulkner, Chair
The mission of the Small Business Council (SBC) is to serve, represent and promote small business members and to enhance the economic health of Searcy's small business community. The SBC provides educational and networking opportunities tailored to the needs of small business owners and managers.

Government Affairs

Government Affairs - J.R. Thomas, Chair
The role of the Government and Affairs Committee is to bring focus to those issues that can have a positive influence on business, and to those issues that can be costly and unfriendly to business. Recommends political positions to the Chamber's Board of Directors; hosts Candidate Forums and Legislative Forums as needed. 

Community Development

Searcy Leadership Institute - Jamie Mobley, Chair
Searcy Leadership Institute opens doors for local business men and women and community leaders with the desire and ability to shape its future. Through face-to-face meetings with local and state leaders and on-site visits to local institutions, agencies and organizations, participants explore major issues and unique challenges facing the Searcy community. Must be a graduate of the Leadership Program to participate.  Click here for application.

Membership Development

Business After Hours

The committee facilitates four casual networking opportunities that are held at various Searcy business locations. Inexpensive and informal, these late afternoon/early evening events are ideal for meeting fellow professionals and establishing long-lasting business relationships.

Business EXPO - Dr. Bruce McLarty, Chair
The Expo Committee is involved in organizing event logistics including booth layout and design, marketing, theme presentation and venue preparations; maintaining corporate relationships; and marketing the event to the community and surrounding communities.  Register here.

Chairman’s Memorial Golf Tournament - Philip Hays, Chair
Members of the Golf Tournament Committee work together to plan, execute and host the Annual Chairman’s Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament highlights past Chairs' contributions. Click here for registration.

Ambassador Committee - David Cavendar & Mandy Heaton Co-Chairs
The Ambassador Committee will assist with recruitment and retention of Chamber members through mentoring of members during their first year of involvement with the Chamber. Committee memers will assist staff by actively seeking new members, following up with prospective members, and visiting existing members each year. The committee will assist staff in indentifying concerns, and discussing needs and promoting services. They will participate in networking seminars; attend the Annual Banquet, Grand Openings & Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, etc. 

Tourism & Promotion - Gary Patel, Chair
This committee worsk to promote Searcy and/or the Chamber with an overall goal to attract visitors who will provide a positive impact on the economy of the region. 

Banquet Task Force - Flave Carpenter & Jamie Mobley
Plans the Annual Awards Banquet including the entertainmenet and decor.
